Students Write Their Own Success Story at U-Tech Preparatory Academy

Students need to develop the necessary skills and persistence to be prepared for their post-secondary lives, whether they choose to further their formal education or enter the workforce. Among the most important qualities for success in today’s increasingly technology-driven and connected world are digital mastery, self-agency, critical-thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration. Families are increasingly exercising their right to explore their options beyond their local schools, in search of opportunities for their children to master these 21st-century skills. With an extensive waitlist for its proven online and hybrid program, Jenison Innovation Academy (JIA) expanded to include U-Tech Preparatory Academy to provide the same content and student-teacher relationships to more students anytime and anywhere.

Kasia M. writes, “JIA was the perfect choice for my middle and high school careers. JIA set me up for real success. While there I was able to take college courses, take 2 different tech center courses which set me up to pursue my career of Dental Hygiene. The staff at JIA REALLY care for their students. They strive to make themselves available for their students and want to help them succeed. JIA gave me the chance to make lasting friendships with people from all throughout the school including classmates, those in grades around me and with the teachers! If you ask any JIA student they will tell you that flexibility is just one of many strong suits of JIA. While being flexible JIA also has the structure to keep a procrastinator, like myself, up on their work. Overall JIA was the best way for me to learn, grow, and truly set me up for life after high school while also giving me the best 4 years of high school I could ask for.”

JIA’s U-Tech Preparatory Academy students experience this quality content and pedagogy that put the students first, always. U-Tech Prep students design their own flexible, self-paced learning pathway with the support and feedback of dedicated and experienced online content- and mentor teachers. Students can enroll full-time or for individual courses and can create a schedule of any combination of 9-week term courses, 18-week semester courses, 6-week summer courses, with Scholars Academy, Advanced Placement, and university course options. We look forward to working together to uncover your child’s story at U-Tech Preparatory Academy.
