Celebrating Performing Arts & World Theatre Week 2024

In a week filled with creativity, passion, and talent, BISP celebrated its Performing Arts / World Theatre Week from Monday 25th to Friday 29th March. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the extraordinary abilities of the school’s budding actors, musicians, and performers.

IG and IB Performing Arts Soiree

Kicking off the festivities on Monday 25th March, the IG and IB Performing Arts Soiree set the stage alight with a wonderful array of deeply moving musical renditions and thought-provoking theatrical pieces.

A Musical Night at the Movies

On Tuesday 26th March, the school treated audiences to “A Musical Night at the Movies”. From Primary to Secondary groups, bands, and ensembles, the stage came alive with melodies that transported the audience through cinematic realms.

Scenes from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet

Wednesday 27th March witnessed a truly fantastic performance of scenes from Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, “Romeo and Juliet”. Set against the backdrop of the school’s picturesque amphitheatre, the student-directed production breathed new life into this tale of love and tragedy. You can watch the performance HERE

An Evening of IG and IB Drama Solo Work

Thursday 28th March saw the Drama Studio come alive with an evening dedicated to IG and IB Drama solo work. Featuring performances by students from Year 10, 12, and 13, the intimate setting allowed for a deeper exploration of individual talent and captivating storytelling.

Beyond the Stage: Pop-up Performances

Throughout the week, BISP surprised and delighted students and staff alike with pop-up lunchtime performances. These impromptu showcases not only added an extra layer of excitement to the week but also highlighted the vibrant and dynamic nature of the school’s Performing Arts scene.

BISP’s Performing Arts/World Theatre Week highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing creativity, nurturing talent, and providing a platform for students to shine.
