BISP Songkran Celebration Week 2022

Songkran is the traditional Thai New Year’s Day and is celebrated from 13th to 15th April of every year.

Recently, BISP students have taken part in a variety of activities to celebrate the biggest annual celebration in Thailand, Songkran. Activities included a ‘Rodnam Damhu’ Ceremony which involves the pouring water on Buddha statues and the young and elderly is a traditional ritual, representing purification and the washing away of one’s sins and bad luck. Thai people believe this is a good start to the New Year. Students also had the opportunity to play some Thia games, eat Thai desserts and participate in some fun Songkran themed quizzes. As we close for the term break we would like to wish you Happy Songkran from us here at BISP! Suk san wan Songkran!
