From eye-opening Academic Travel trips across Europe and stunning outdoor adventures within Switzerland to stellar performing arts events on campus and engaged academics in the classroom, we take a photo-driven look at the past month at TASIS.

Recess Readers
A pair of third-grade students read together on the MCF Bench on November 6.
Philosophy 101
Headmaster Chris Nikoloff met with ninth-grade students in Casa Fleming on November 7 to talk about philosophical ethics.
In an effort to ensure that all TASIS students graduate with a foundation in philosophy, each year Mr. Nikoloff delivers a seminar in Ethics to grade 9 students; a Truth, Goodness, and Beauty seminar to grade 10 students; and a Freedom, Equality, and Justice seminar to grade 11 students. This three-part seminar teaches students how to think about these ideas more clearly, to see how these ideas relate to each other and our lives, and to understand the foundational structure of these philosophical concepts.
Tigers vs Eagles
The JV Girls Soccer team took on the International School of Zug and Luzern during group play of the European Sports Conference (ESC) Tournament hosted by TASIS on November 8.

Their presentation was the first in a series of assemblies that will cover the values in TASIS C.A.R.E.S (cooperation, assertiveness, responsibility, empathy, and self-control).
Daydreams and Nightmares
Ms. Megan Pendleton’s Drawing and Painting students put their daydreams and nightmares to canvas to create contrasting diptychs during class on November 13.

A Trivial Comedy for Serious People
The High School Theater Company put on four incredible performances of The Importance of Being Earnest in the Palmer Cultural Center on November 21–24. The Oscar Wilde classic was reimagined in the Roaring Twenties, with the Palmer Cultural Center transformed into a New York City speakeasy that immersed the audience in the show!
Fun in the Snow
The sunshine finally disappeared on the afternoon of November 21, but it was snow—and not rain—that fell on campus for the first time this season!
