Girl scientists from The Global College meet Jane Goodall

Four students from The Global College enjoyed the enormous privilege of meeting and listening to the very inspiring and world-renowned primatologist, writer, and environmental activist Dame Jane Goodall.

The distinguished ethologist, environmental activist, United Nations Messenger of Peace, and World Future Council Member was the keynote speaker for the “Healthy Cities 2023” event in Madrid. The Jane Goodall Institute extended invitations to four science-focused students from The Global College —Pia, Maya, Daria, and Julia—to participate in her conference. They not only had the privilege of meeting her but also explored prospects for collaboration with the Roots and Shoots project.

Although now in her eighties, Jane is still passionately dedicated to trying to share and build on human knowledge about the links between humans, all other living things and above all the importance of trying to make a positive difference.

Above all Jane focused on the importance of all of us trying to make a positive difference whenever, wherever, and however we best can and the role of young people and education in this now and into the future.
