Hailing from South Africa, Udo Roos has been an integral part of the WISS community for over a decade, starting his educational voyage from kindergarten all the way to grade 9. Inspired by his elder brothers, who have successfully graduated from WISS, Udo aspires to follow in their footsteps and carve his own path toward excellence.
From the early days in kindergarten, Udo’s passion for sports, particularly football, blossomed. His time at WISS provided him with the platform to nurture his athletic talents, develop sportsmanship, and fuel his dream of becoming a professional footballer someday. Beyond the field, Udo cherishes the strong bonds he has formed with peers and teachers over the years, highlighting the supportive and enriching environment that WISS offers.
Recently, Udo undertook a grueling physical challenge known as the 4x4x48, involving running four miles every four hours for 48 hours straight. This monumental feat was driven by a profound sense of purpose – to showcase his love for running, raise awareness for cancer on National Cancer Day, and unite the community through shared support and resilience.
Reflecting on his journey, Udo emphasizes the significance of one’s mentality in achieving greatness. He draws inspiration from a Chinese proverb shared by his teacher, emphasizing that every obstacle presents an opportunity for growth and achievement.
