The Leysin American School Class of 2025 had an amazing graduation ceremony in May. The event was both emotional and uplifting, as students, families, and faculty united to celebrate years of hard work and get excited about their upcom ing futures. We can’t wait to see what this remarkable group of graduates will accomplish next, and we look forward to welcoming them at Global Family events around the world!
Festivities began with a warm and welcoming reception at the Fromagerie in Leysin Village, a beloved local spot known for its Alpine charm and traditional Swiss wine and cheese. The event offered a chance for guests to learn about the rich history of one of Leysin’s most iconic venues, while also connecting with fellow families, students, and staff in a relaxed and social atmosphere.
The sun shone on this year’s graduation day, and our students wore red graduation gowns and caps. We loved celebrating their achievements alongside their friends and family, who traveled to Leysin from all over the world. Graduating from high school is such a big milestone, and our students should be so proud of everything they have accomplished along the way. They will always have a home in Leysin and join a community of thousands of LAS alumni across the world! Wherever they go, they’re never too far from someone who has had a shared experience of the Magic Mountain.
The ceremony featured meaningful speeches, musical performances, and emotional moments throughout. Beloved faculty member Mr. Healey opened the event with warm and thoughtful words, and the LAS Staff & Students joined Choir League Leysin in a moving performance. One of the highlights of the day was the Commencement Address by alumna Holly Hines ’94, whose inspiring message encouraged graduates to embrace the next chapter with confidence and curiosity. Each student then had the opportunity to walk across the stage and be recognized for their accomplishments.
The Class of 2025’s time on the Magic Mountain has come to an end, but our students’ connection to Leysin will always remain. They are now part of a global network of LAS alumni who share the unique experience of learning, growing, and discovering themselves in this extraordinary place. Wherever their journeys take them, they’ll always carry the spirit of LAS with them, and they’ll never be far from someone who understands it.
