Branksome Hall Asia Students Shine at Annual Speech Competition

JEJU, South Korea—February 7, 2025—Branksome Hall Asia’s Junior School came alive with powerful voices and compelling ideas as students from Grades 2 to 5 took the stage for the annual Speech Competition. With this year’s theme, “Shape a Better World,” young speakers showcased their ability to inspire, inform, and persuade, addressing a range of global issues with passion and confidence.

The Speech Competition is a key event within the Junior School Academic Enrichment Program, which was launched in 2020 to provide diverse academic opportunities for students through collaborative, competitive, and individual challenges. As part of this initiative, the competition encourages students to develop the IB Learner Profile attributes and embody Branksome Hall Asia’s Core Values.

This year’s event featured over 75 students, each delivering well-researched speeches that demonstrated critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication. More than just a competition, the event served as a celebration of student leadership and the courage to share ideas.

At Branksome Hall Asia, we believe that communication is a fundamental skill for future global leaders. By participating in the Speech Competition, students refined their ability to articulate ideas with clarity, think independently, and engage audiences with confidence. Their performances reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing young minds who will shape a better world.

The event concluded with well-deserved recognition for all participants, celebrating their dedication, resilience, and growth as young communicators. Their voices continue to inspire and lead the way for the future, and we look forward to seeing them flourish as leaders and changemakers in the years to come.
