BISP Student among Top Finalists at Writing Competition

This year, BISP’s Anchalee in Year 11 was chosen as a finalist for her short story at the Neilson Hays Young Writers Awards.

The Neilson Hays Young Writers Awards is an annual writing competition, drawing contestants to submit creative writing from all around Thailand. Students, aged 10-18 in both international and local Thai schools, were invited to submit children’s picture books and short stories. This year, BISP’s Anchalee was chosen as a finalist for her short story, “The Flight” in the “E Category” which includes Original short story by 18 years and under (no more than 1,500 words), from all types of schools.

All finalists will attend a writing workshop in Bangkok at the Neilson Hays Library, which Anchalee is excited to attend. At the workshop, she will be coached on her writing as well as have the chance to meet other finalists. The final awards ceremony will take place in June, where the winner will be announced. She is looking forward to this great opportunity to showcase her writing and practice the craft. Good luck Anchalee!
