BISP Hosts Phuket Island Mathematics Challenge (PIMC)

BISP recently hosted the Phuket Island Mathematics Challenge (PIMC). Students from schools across the island were invited to attend and spent the day competing in a variety of mathematical challenges.

The challenge involves students from years 7, 8, & 9 from BISP, BCIS, Headstart and UWC Thailand. Events included an outside treasure hunt, logic puzzles, codebreaking and an energiser round. It was great to see so many of our talented mathematicians engaging in problem-solving, working collaboratively and making friends with students from around Phuket.

Congratulations to all our talented students who represented BISP during the event:

Prem, Quintus, Ethan and Pratik in Year 9, Teddy, Clayton, Kiran, Elina, James and Jeff in Year 8 and Matvei, Ting Ting, Jasper, Cathy and Anna-Irina in Year 7.

A special congratulations to Pratik’s team which was awarded first place overall. Second place went to Kiran’s team and third place to Prem’s team. Well done to all the participants of the Phuket Island Mathematics Challenge and we look forward to participating in next year’s event!
