The Bavarian International School (BIS) organizes an annual public forum with top-class experts on a cutting-edge topic. With this BIS City Talk, the IB World School underlines its role as a pioneer for modern, future-oriented education.
After “Next generation leadership” and “Artificial Intelligence (AI)” in the last two years, the title for the seventh public expert event is “Empowering digital citizens: smart kids vs. smartphones”. On Wednesday, 26 February 2025 (18:00) at Munich’s BIS City Campus in Leopoldstr. 208, first-class speakers such as digitalization expert and smartphone critic for children up to the age of 14 Philipp Depiereux, neuroscientist Prof. Dr. Christian Montag (“Homo Digitalis – Smartphones, social networks and the brain”), Magdalena Balica from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and BIS Head of School Dr. Chrissie Sorenson will discuss the digital balance, future skills in a tech world and the meaningful integration of educational technology into learning.
The event is open to the public and free of charge, prior registration is required through the website. Interested guests can also register for a guided school tour at 17:00 on the day of the event.
