The Western International School of Shanghai (WISS) is proud to be one of the four International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP) schools in the world, offering a unique and exciting program to students.
WISS is glad to announce our new partnership with the Sustainability Management School (SUMAS), a top business school in Switzerland, to offer an innovative IBCP pathway focus on Business & Sustainability.
Sustainability as a Core Business Strategy
Today, sustainability is an added value to business management that requires qualified workers to run this department and combine excellent business management skills with knowledge and awareness of sustainability principles and values.
WISS is aware of this new demand and is proud to announce our new collaboration with SUMAS to develop responsible young leaders with the appropriate skills and qualities needed for a successful business career.
Through the IBCP with SUMAS, students explore, analyze, and acquire knowledge related to the concept of Business Sustainability, which is highly valued by today’s society.
Nature Conservation, Sustainable Fashion, or Sustainable Hospitality are some of the possible career pathways available to students who study Business and Sustainability at WISS through the CP Programme.
The Career-related Programme (IBCP)
WISS is the first and only full continuum IB World School in the Chinese mainland offering the four programmes of the International Baccalaureate (IB): the Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), the Middle Years Programme (IBMYP), the Diploma Programme (IBDP), and the Career-related Programme (IBCP).
The Career-related Programme (IBCP) is a flexible framework of international education that allows students to engage in personalized, meaningful, career-related study.
The IBCP is designed for students interested in pursuing career-related education in the final two years of Secondary school and provides students with an excellent foundation to support their further studies, as well as ensure their preparedness for success in the workforce.
At WISS, IBCP students can explore their passion in either the Arts, Sports, or Business, as they prepare themselves for further study and a career in their favored profession.
