SSIS has recently collaborated with Suzhou Center Mall to host a students art exhibition in this iconic cultural and commercial venue. This partnership gives student artists more opportunities and showcases their achievements in visual arts. The exhibition features approximately 100 paintings created by students from Grades 6-10, as well as the Grade 12 IBDP Visual Arts students. The opening ceremony, held on May 28, was highlighted by a lively performance from the SSIS Orchestra, adding to the festive atmosphere.
The exhibition demonstrates the school’s dedication to art education and represents an important opportunity for students to display their artwork beyond school. The pieces shown in the exhibition showcase the students’ artistic abilities and creativity, reflecting their development and the different stages of their artistic growth and learning experiences.
As a key cultural and commercial location, Suzhou Center Mall offers an ideal setting for the exhibition, allowing students to gain greater visibility and recognition for their talents. The prominent venue ensures that more people will have the chance to appreciate their works.
Mr. Samer Khouri, the head of school, noted that showcasing students’ artwork and performances in a prominent place like Suzhou Center Mall provides them with a greater opportunity to be seen and appreciated. He hopes this initiative will help highlight each student’s creativity and talent, enabling them to gain recognition on a broader scale.
