What are international AS and A-levels?
International AS and A levels, also known as Advanced Subsidiary Levels and Advanced Levels, are designed for international learners. A-level courses are usually studied over 2 years, whereas AS-level courses are usually studied over 1 year. This is because A-levels are more advanced, and AS-levels are worth roughly half of an A-level qualification.
AS-levels effectively refer to the first year of an A-level, and students can choose to take 3 A-levels with an additional AS-level to boost their application to further education. This means they would study 4 subjects in year 12 and then 3 subjects in year 13, but students are free to choose how they prefer to learn, whether full-time or part-time.
Who can study AS and A-levels?
Our online sixth form is available for students aged 16 to 18 in years 12 and 13 internationally. We offer a wide variety of international AS and A-level subjects to choose from, including English, biology, physics, chemistry, economics, business, languages, and more. We provide flexible start dates so students can choose when they would like to start learning with us.
How are AS and A-levels taught?
Our online AS and A-level lessons are held live over Zoom at scheduled weekly times. Our highly qualified and subject-specialist teachers provide students with a high standard of education alongside engaging and interactive material. If students are unable to attend lessons live, they can catch up on-demand at any time through our online learning platform.
In addition to live lessons, students are also provided with learning resources and materials on the platform, including past papers, tests, worksheets, revision materials, and more, to help them excel in their education.
