On 22nd May, The British International School Abu Dhabi proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2025, a momentous occasion that brought together students, families, and staff to honour years of dedication, learning, and personal development.
The school auditorium was filled with excitement as students from two academic pathways were recognised: those completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and the inaugural cohort of the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business.
The ceremony opened with a warm welcome from Head of Secondary, Mrs. Áine McGlue. As each graduate received their diploma, the audience celebrated not only academic success but also the resilience and growth that defined their time at BIS Abu Dhabi.
A particularly meaningful moment came with the recognition of ten students who began their educational journey at BIS Abu Dhabi in the Early Years Foundation Stage, affectionately known as the ‘BISAD Babies’. Their graduation reflected the strong sense of community and continuity that the school fosters.
Graduate Tia Mathew delivered a heartfelt speech that captured the spirit, humour, and companionship of the Class of 2025. Principal Mr. Alan Cocker concluded the ceremony with thoughtful reflections on the cohort’s achievements and the exciting paths that lie ahead.
Following the formal proceedings, celebrations continued in The Hub and the Senior Academy, where graduates, families, and staff gathered to share refreshments, take photos, and reflect on the memories made throughout their time at BIS Abu Dhabi.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025. Their journey has been one of growth, perseverance, and achievement, and their future is full of promise. We can’t wait to see the incredible things they will go on to accomplish.
