Celebrating Community and Competition

This week at SSIS, we celebrated two exciting events: Secondary Sports Day on Tuesday and Primary Dragon Day on Thursday. Both days were filled with thrilling competitions and enjoyable games, designed to ignite the flames of friendship and foster personal growth among our students.

This year, secondary school students competed in their newly appointed house teams rather than in homerooms, which created an engaging and friendly competitive atmosphere throughout the day. They not only participated in track and field events but also enjoyed ten game stations. High school students took part in a mini volleyball competition, a doubles badminton tournament, and an exciting game of capture the flag on the field.

After a whole day of competing the final scores were as follows:

1st place- GREEN HOUSE 1481 pts
2nd place- RED HOUSE 1456 pts
3rd place- YELLOW HOUSE 1421 pts
4th place- WHITE HOUSE 1224 pts
5th Place- BLUE HOUSE 1042 pts

Throughout these events, students, teachers, staff, and the entire SSIS community showcased our core values of compassion, inspiration, and principled behavior. From exhilarating races to engaging team challenges, our students gave it their all. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved and earning points for their houses!

A big shoutout to all our participants, teachers, and parents for making these events so special! Your enthusiasm and support truly contributed to the success of the days.
