The British International School (BIS) Abu Dhabi is proud to highlight the outstanding achievements of its students in academics, showcasing their commitment, talent, and passion for learning.
In June 2024, four Year 11 students earned top marks in the Cambridge GCSE language exams, receiving prestigious Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. These awards included recognition for:
- High Achievement in Foreign Language German
- High Achievement in Foreign Language Italian
- Top in the UAE for Foreign Language Spanish
Additionally, 16 students from Year 11 were honoured with High Achievement awards by the Pearson Edexcel Examination Board for their exemplary performance in the 2024 IGCSE exams. A standout achievement was one student’s recognition for earning the highest mark in the UAE for Art.
These remarkable accomplishments reflect not only the hard work and determination of the students but also the continuous support from their teachers and families. The students were formally recognised at a ceremony held on 28 November 2024 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai.
To further honor their achievements, the students received Headteacher Commendation Certificates and were awarded the prestigious BISAD ‘B’ lanyard, symbolising their excellence.
