Why choose an American School in Jordan

When choosing a school for your child, the curriculum is one of the most critical factors. The American curriculum, widely adopted in Jordan, offers distinct advantages that cater to diverse educational needs and aspirations. This curriculum is renowned for its balanced approach to education, which emphasizes not only academic excellence but also the development of essential life skills.

Comprehensive and Flexible Academic Structure

The American curriculum is praised for its comprehensive coverage of a broad range of subjects, including English, Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts. This holistic approach ensures that students receive a well-rounded education that enhances their intellectual development. Moreover, the curriculum’s flexibility allows for the integration of local and global perspectives within the syllabus, which is particularly advantageous in a culturally rich country like Jordan.

Focus on Critical Thinking and Creativity

A core tenet of the American educational system is its emphasis on developing critical thinking skills and creativity. Students are encouraged to think independently and innovate, which is facilitated through project-based learning and problem-solving exercises. This method not only engages students more deeply but also prepares them for real-world challenges by fostering analytical skills and the ability to think on their feet.

Preparation for Global University Admission

For many Jordanian families, education is seen as a pathway to opportunities both locally and overseas. The American curriculum is aligned with educational standards that are recognized globally, particularly by universities in the United States and around the world. This alignment not only facilitates a smoother transition for students applying to these institutions but also provides them with a competitive edge in the admissions process.

Enhanced Opportunities for Personal Development

Beyond academics, the American curriculum supports the personal development of students. Schools offer a wide range of extracurricular activities that foster leadership skills, teamwork, and personal interests. Whether it’s sports, arts, or community service, students have the opportunity to explore and develop in areas beyond the traditional classroom setting.

Inclusive Education System

The American curriculum supports an inclusive education system that values diversity and ensures that every student is given an opportunity to succeed. Educational strategies are employed to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, ensuring a supportive learning environment for all students.

In Jordan, where educational excellence is highly valued, the choice of an American curriculum offers a pathway not just to academic achievement but also to personal growth and global opportunities. By focusing on both the development of fundamental skills and the nurturing of individual talents, the American curriculum prepares students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

  • Karl and I just wish we have discovered your school much earlier. We would like to reiterate from parents who have sent our daughter to a private school all her life, Elea High has given her the most valuable and enriched environment to study. The first thing Grace has mentioned to us is how all the teachers spoke to her like an adult with respect instead of treating her like a little child. This made her feel she is worthy and made her feel comfortable in engaging. This is something she said she never experienced in her old school! Private schools may have all the fancy facilities and traditional values but what your school offered is what’s important in school life – respect and the right environment!

Our son is living a sober, happy, healthy life, thanks in part to the skills he learned and nurturing he received at NSA, as well as the hard work he has done on his own since returning from NSA. We are forever grateful that the fates directed us to NSA for support during a difficult period. Highly recommend!
