Overview

Founded in 1889, Ridley College is a co-educational boarding and day school located on a beautiful 90-acre campus in St. Catharines, Ontario. A one-hour drive from Toronto and ten minutes from Niagara Falls, the Ridley campus is easily accessible from both Toronto Pearson International Airport and Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Students range from JK through grade 12, with a post-graduate year option, and come from 60 countries worldwide. With over 380 boarders, Ridley is the third largest boarding program in Canada and one of country’s oldest boarding schools.

“World Prep” is what you find here: a forward-looking and rigorous program that prepares students for a university education and a successful future. Ridley graduates go on to study at some of the top colleges and universities in Canada, the United States, and internationally. Ridley offers the IB Diploma Program and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma Program.

Beyond academics is a diverse extracurricular program in the arts, athletics, leadership and, most importantly, community service. For over 130 years, Ridley College has held true to its motto, Terar Dum Prosim, or “May I be consumed in service.” Opportunities abound for participation in Creativity, Action, and Service activities year-round.

One of the defining features of Ridley is the traditional house system, which integrates both boarding and day students into 10 boarding houses on campus, each with its own unique identity and sense of community. By incorporating our local day students into the boarding program, Ridley provides students with a perfect balance of global influences and Canadian culture.
