Parent and Student Reviews
- March, 2023Our son joined the school 3 years ago and every year we have been impressed by the academic rigour in a friendly, family-oriented environment. Our son is really engaged with his studies, which is no doubt a result of being in a small class where he receives a lot of individual attention and personalized learning opportunities. We are particularly impressed by the high caliber of teachers: each of them bringing passion and innovative teaching techniques into the classroom, making every lesson captivating and interesting. Our son is eager to participate in many extracurricular activities such as computer or drama clubs and enjoys being part of a global community. He really cannot wait to go to school and that makes us really happy!Show more
- I joined ISCS five years ago and have since earned IGCSEs and As-Level qualifications. I particularly enjoy the family feel of the school: a combination of small classes, dedicated teachers and friends from all over world. I enjoy being a member of the Student-led NGO and working on a community project as part of the ISCS Leadership Programme. Last year, I took part in the student exchange programme at our sister school in Spain, where I had the opportunity to practice Spanish and make new friends, while following the same curriculum as ISCS. In the future I would like to study in the USA. However, I still can’t decide between engineering or medicine.Show more
- I really like coming to school. My favourite subject is PE and maths. The teachers are very nice and they make learning fun. School is never boring! There are many clubs after school – I particularly enjoy football and computer science. I like wearing the school uniform – it makes us a team!Show more
- March, 2023I really enjoy working at ISCS. It is a vibrant community of students, parents and teachers. I particularly enjoy listening to my students sharing their own cultural and international perspectives on issues we discuss in the class. In my role as an active Head of School, I am responsible for delivering outstanding level of teaching, combined with providing enriching and meaningful extra curricular activities. In addition, I ensure all the staff continue their professional development, which I find is key in delivering engaging and innovative lessons for our students. ISCS is an exciting place to work as we receive a lot of support and encouragement from peers, the leadership team and the parent community. It is definitely a school where one can bring a new idea or an innovative teaching technique and see it being implemented. I also enjoy the staff team events, whether it is taking a boat on the beautiful Swiss Lakes, or Latin dance class – everyone joins in and that’s why ISCS feels like one big family.Show more
- February, 2023The curriculum is strong, the teachers are well qualified, and when I engage with my child on his lessons, it is clear his understanding is great.Show more
- February, 2023Students and parents are kept up-to-date. Teachers are first-rate, caring, professional and dedicated, regardless of the ability of the child.Show more
- February, 2023Children are given the space to be creative and independent. My son has grown a lot and his confidence has quadrupled.Show more
- February, 2023Academics are very important to me. Verbier is a magical place to live where I have time for family, and we can ski in the winter. But this life has to come without sacrificing my children’ learning. Copperfield offers a top quality individualised plan, so with a programme like this we can stay in Verbier until they leave for a university of their choice.Show more
- February, 2023I love going to school every day. The most important thing is that our teachers allow us to have fun and be creative. They love it when we are happy, and my parents love that too.Show more
- February, 2023We moved from Sweden to Verbier as we wanted our children to have an international upbringing and education, surrounded by different nationalities, cultures, and languages. At Copperfield, they are taught in English and French, and each day they are exposed to many more languages. Add the Verbier lifestyle of outdoors, sports and skiing and we have exactly what we wanted.Show more
- February, 2023The academic programme at Copperfield is truly individualised in small classes. Our two children have weekly sessions with a learning support specialist, individual piano lessons run by Fernando (concert cellist), and a tailored academic plan all the way to higher education. The road to university is very important to us as we want to live in Verbier together with our children.Show more
- February, 2023I didn’t know what a “Homeroom” was, but now my daughters love to start the school day in Homeroom with their pastoral tutor. Together with the weekly assemblies, where all parents are invited, I feel that the school share my focus on wellbeing. It’s no exaggeration to say that everyone in the school community knows each other’s names and faces. That’s special.Show more
