Welcome to the website of Harrow International School Bangkok, the original Harrow International School in Asia and now mature and thriving with 1,450 students on our green 35 acre site in North Bangkok, Thailand. All that we do in our School reflects our mission statement, Leadership for a better world. Whether within lessons, in our care and guidance of our students or the diverse extra curricular activities on offer, we focus on developing in our young people the attributes and desires to make a positive difference to the communities that they encounter, both now or in the years to come. Each school in the Harrow Family has different characteristics and has developed in ways that reflect the context in which it is set. Harrow Bangkok is a co-educational boarding and day school that embraces its vibrant host city. We are responsive to the needs of our community, ensuring that responsible and sustainable charitable service is central to the experiences of our students. Yet in many respects we share the characteristics of all the schools in the Harrow Family; we have the highest expectations of our students and staff, we ensure that each child is considered as individual and precious, we are committed to a holistic approach to school life, we respect ourselves and look after each other. Harrow Bangkok benefits from outstanding purpose-built and spacious facilities and is staffed by a faculty trained and experienced in the best of independent and maintained sector educational practice. These factors, combined with the general desire of the students to get the very best from their school life, create a learning environment that is unique in South East Asia; academically outstanding, pastorally caring and with an unrivalled range of extra curricular activities. Both our Lower and Upper Schools provide stimulating and innovative opportunities for our students to learn about their world. Our young Harrovians are happy, safe and confident; they embrace their School. In considering admissions applications we are seeking future students of quality, who will be able to match, or surpass the high standards already set. Our scholarship programme provides opportunities for young people to step into roles as examples to their peers in their academic work, creative activity or sporting achievement, regardless of their financial background.

We joined the school 5 years ago. We had a good impression of Harrow Bangkok from an Open House event, especially the facilities. Also we noticed that the children here are very nice, and would say hello to parents and staff - they obviously feel happy being in the school. Most importantly, I knew my children would fit in at Harrow Bangkok. They have lovely friends here, and they love going to school every day. We like the fact that children are encouraged to try lots of new things. My daughter chooses lots of different after-school activities – she does an activity every day of the week… gymnastics, basketball, swimming, art. It’s great that we don’t need to go outside the school community for any extra activities. My son really enjoys music and sport, which is fantastic as before he joined Harrow Bangkok he was more focused on academic studies. He played in his band at the Benefit Bash which was a highlight for us, and he loves basketball.
My daughter loves school — she has always been an alert and energetic child, and she loves reading. She has really developed her reading skills since she joined Harrow Bangkok, and her English language skills continue to improve impressively in Year 2 - English language skills are so important. When choosing the right school for my daughter, my wife and I decided to send her to an international school, not only to become bilingual, but also to make connections with other children that will last for life. I was very impressed by the child-centred approach to education at Harrow Bangkok. Having an education at a top international school like this is the first window of opportunity. I am so pleased to see the confidence students have here when interacting with each other and with older children and their teachers. When we made the decision to join Harrow Bangkok, we looked at the teaching quality, the credibility of school, and most importantly somewhere where we knew our daughter would fit in. We love the balance between academic and extra-curricular activities here. The emphasis on leadership skills is also one of the reasons we chose Harrow Bangkok. We see her education as an important investment for her future.
My son is in Year 11 and is taking his IGCSE exams this year. We were first attracted to Harrow Bangkok as it was one of the few schools to offer the British curriculum in Bangkok at that time. But there’s much more this school has to offer. He loves sport and some of the memorable moments for us are the many competitions he has taken part in, both in Bangkok and all around South East Asia. These events always bring out the best in our students and show great teamwork amongst the staff, students and parents. Thank you Harrow Bangkok for some very special memories.
My daughter is in Year 9 and has been at Harrow Bangkok since K2. I chose Harrow Bangkok because of the links with Harrow UK, and the fact that this is a British national curriculum school. My family loves being part of the school. My daughter is a very active girl; she loves the expeditions and the Duke of Edinburgh awards. Gymnastics and ballet are her favourite activities, and she is also an art lover, and she plays violin. The facilities at Harrow Bangkok really add to the experience children have. It’s a good environment for children to grow up in. We love the fact that at Harrow Bangkok you can make friends for life. Students here tend to stay here from kindergarten to Sixth Form, which is great to make connections that last even after university.
