Chris Andre to Join CIS as New Director in August 2025

Copenhagen International School is excited to announce that Chris Andre will become the school’s new Director starting in August 2025.

Chris brings a wealth of international leadership experience, having served as Director of the Rabat American School in Morocco for the past four years and previously leading the International School of Azerbaijan for six years. His career also includes senior roles in Turkey and the United States, reflecting a strong global perspective and deep understanding of international education.

A Harvard graduate with close ties to Scandinavia, Chris began his career as a Mathematics Teacher in Turkey and later moved to Norway, where he was Athletics Director at the International School of Stavanger. He is married to a Norwegian and is excited to be returning to the region.

Known for his thoughtful leadership, Chris is highly regarded for his strengths in managing people, strategic planning, and financial oversight. He impressed during his recent visit to CIS, connecting with students and staff and expressing admiration for the school’s commitment to empowering teachers and fostering a culture of educational excellence.

Chris shares CIS’s vision of educating champions of a just and sustainable future and brings with him a strong growth mindset, a passion for student learning, and a compassionate, collaborative approach.

He will return to CIS in spring 2025 as part of his onboarding process, with opportunities for the community to meet him then.
