Why choose an international school in California?
A World-Class Education
International schools in California are renowned for their rigorous academic standards and adherence to globally recognized curricula, such as the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. This educational framework not only challenges students but also promotes a more holistic approach to learning that emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Moreover, the faculty at these schools often includes highly qualified teachers from around the world, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and international perspectives that enrich the learning experience.Cultural Diversity
One of the most compelling reasons to choose an international school is the opportunity it provides for students to immerse themselves in a multicultural environment. These schools attract a diverse student body representing a variety of nationalities, creating a unique community where students can learn from each other’s experiences and cultural backgrounds. This exposure is invaluable in fostering cultural awareness and empathy, qualities that are increasingly important in today’s global society.Language Proficiency
In a world where communication across borders is key, proficiency in multiple languages is a significant asset. International schools in California often offer bilingual education or language immersion programs that allow students to become fluent in one or more foreign languages. This not only enhances their cognitive and social abilities but also gives them a competitive edge in the global job market.Preparation for Global Opportunities
Graduates from international schools often find themselves better prepared for the challenges of global universities and careers. These schools typically provide a robust network of alumni and connections that can be crucial when pursuing opportunities abroad. Additionally, the emphasis on international standards ensures that students’ education is recognized and respected worldwide, opening doors to prestigious higher education institutions and global career paths.Personal Development
Beyond academics, international schools also place a strong focus on the personal development of their students. Activities and programs designed to enhance leadership skills, community service, and creative expression are integral parts of the curriculum. These initiatives help develop well-rounded individuals who are not only academically accomplished but also socially responsible and emotionally intelligent. In conclusion, choosing an international school in California is more than an educational decision; it’s a gateway to a plethora of opportunities that foster academic excellence, cultural diversity, and personal growth. These institutions prepare students not just for college, but for a life in a globally interconnected world. How much does it cost to attend International Schools in California?

Parent and Student Reviews
- February, 2023As a teacher myself, I have a very discerning eye when it comes to evaluating an academic environment; LILA – Los Feliz is truly 5 star in every category. My son is happy and enthusiastic about his experience. The after school programs are also great – we do Tae Kwon Do, Art, and Chess. The teachers are so dedicated and skilled. We are not a French speaking family, but we are thrilled that our son is becoming a bilingual, compassionate, and independent member of the global community!Show more
- February, 2023Our boys attended this school from 2012-2017, they ‘grew up’ so happily here. It’s a wonderful diverse environment for learning and community. Although we speak limited French at home they emerged as bilingual; more importantly as boys who are open, accepting, worldly wise and curious. This school and the learning experience it offers will stay with you forever.Show more
- February, 2023Our kids have been attending for 7 years now. While no place is perfect, we’ve found the school to be an amazing and beautifully cultivating educational experience for our kids. It’s not easy to get in and we consider ourselves very lucky. The community there is fantastic and we’re finding parents we absolutely adore. I highly recommend you visit the school and see for yourself. We love it there and couldn’t recommend it more highly!Show more
