The International School of Los Angeles (LILA) is a non-profit, independent, international school committed to bilingual education and academic excellence in a nurturing environment. LILA offers a preschool through 12th grade curriculum that culminates in the French baccalauréat or the International Baccalaureate®’s Diploma Programme. Our mission is to develop bilingual critical thinkers who are open-minded, confident and caring, and equipped to thrive in a diverse, competitive world.

Scholarships & Financial Aid
26% of the International School of Los Angeles’s student body typically receive some degree of financial aid, from France and/or directly from our school.
School-funded financial assistance is available for families in 1st through 12th grade, with an exception to the grade-level requirement for siblings of currently enrolled students. The application for this need-based financial aid opens on October 1 each year.
French nationals studying at our school have the opportunity to apply annually for need-based scholarships (bourse scolaire) directly from the French government. This external financial assistance helps our school maintain a diverse socioeconomic atmosphere and allows for a reasonable overall fee scale compared to other local private schools and French schools around the country.
Extra-curricular Activities
LILA offers fun and educational after-school activities, classes, programs, and private music instruction while school is in session. By offering a wide range of after-school activities in various fields (arts, science, sports, theater and more) LILA allows students to explore their interests and passions in a fun, safe, and interactive environment.
Beyond after-school activities and private lessons, LILA also offers seasonal options during school breaks, vacations, and over the summertime.
LILA Lions are taught the fundamentals of athletic development, team spirit, and commitment. Our coaches dedicate themselves to the mission of providing athletic opportunities to a wide range of students and an environment in which all student-athletes can achieve their academic and competitive goals.
