Overview

Open arms and a welcoming smile are trademarks of the American School of Warsaw, where children from over 50 countries gather each day to share a journey of discovery and experience a world-class education. ASW believes in teaching the whole child by first welcoming each new student into the community family. The American School of Warsaw then provides one of the strongest PK-12 academic programs available with an emphasis on computer training and technology. The low teacher-student ratio and the many specialized learning programs such as “English Language Learner” and “Resource” help to ensure the success of every single student. While firmly based on an American educational system, the school has adapted and broadened its focus to meet the needs of the international community it serves utilizing an internationally experienced and certified faculty. Founded in 1953 and accredited in 1987 by the European Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, ASW opened its doors to a new multi-school complex in 2001, which now features state of the art computer and science labs, indoor swimming facilities, sound and recording studios, and an all-weather-turf sports field.
