Set in a stunning location overlooking Lake Geneva, Surval Montreux is a unique private international boarding school for girls between the ages of 12 and 19. Founded in 1961, the school has provided over 55 years of excellence in girls’ education. Having changed its name from Surval Mont Fleuri and enhanced its academic offering in 2012; the school continues to provide girls from around the world with an excellent education, invaluable language and culture skills, as well as expanding their horizons through a diverse enrichment programme consisting of charity work, international trips, sports and clubs. As a small school, Surval provides a genuine family atmosphere and offers a bespoke and imaginative internationally recognized curriculum programme which is tailored to each individual girl and fosters curiosity and courage; this is coupled with excellent personal careers advice ensuring our girls gain access to top universities around the world. Girls can join at the age of 12 or 13 for our Foundation Year Programme, and then continue on for either the British IGCSE and A Levels Programmes or the American High School Diploma. For girls who would like a year of languages, culture and travel after graduating high school, Surval offers a unique Pre-University Programme especially tailored for each girl to develop and learn before embarking on university studies and future careers. Surval also offers a Summer Camp exclusively for girls from the age of 11 to 16, where they join from 2 to 6 weeks and learn a language, participate in fun sports and activities, and develop their culture and customs skills through lessons such as etiquette, art, cookery and fashion. The school also offers a unique winter experience through the 3 to 8 week Surval Winter Camp for girls aged 12 to 19 that combines winter sports with a bespoke programme for each girl and a wide variety of enrichment opportunities.

This has been the most amazing experience we could have given our daughter. She has arrived here as a young lady uncertain about her future and herself. She leaves here as a confident, experienced young adult. I can only thank you a thousand times for the profound difference you made in her life. She is now ready to start with her future.
Thank you so much to all the staff at Surval for giving my daughter such a wonderful experience. We have seen a positive change in her in just one week. We will definitely come back next year. My daughter Alexa, literally had one of the most incredible experiences of her life last summer at Surval and made such great friendships with girls from all over the world. We would like for her to have another fabulous experience at Surval.
I love Surval because it is a place where you meet new friends, have fun, get interesting lessons and are treated very well by the wonderful staff. Surval, for me, is a place that I will always remember.
We are very happy to see our daughter learning and enjoying herself at the same time. She has already become more confident and we look forward to the next school year.
I am very happy with my daughter’s improvement, and very grateful with all of you at Surval, you are an amazing team, now I understand why Surval is ranked in the top 10 schools for girls in the world. Congratulations! And keep up the good work. Thank you very much for everything you did for my daughter this year, she will remember her time at Surval all her life.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I came to Surval, but by the time I arrived the view simply blew me away. Being a Surval student has given me the chance to learn French with great teachers, and to create strong friendships that I am sure will continue after I leave the school. I have had so much fun with the different activities and enjoy the skiing.
Eugenia's "Writing for an Audience" part of her English exam included a task: "Why your child should spend a year living and studying abroad". What a wonderful piece of writing, well done Eugenia! ''Waking up to the wonderful sound of waves crashing on the beach, going sky diving over snowy mountains, and preparing a picnic under the Eiffel Tower are only a few of the many incredible opportunities your child will have while studying abroad. This year abroad will open their eyes to a world of new possibilities and new beginnings. They will not only have the chance to explore the world, but also to explore themselves. They will discover a side of themselves they didn't know existed - one that is hungry for knowledge and learning. A side of themselves that realizes they actually do enjoy going to museums, because after visiting the Louvre in Paris, they've found a love for Impressionist paintings. Simple tasks like learning to move around by themselves on the Metro or learning to order their food in another language will increase your child's independence and maturity. This year abroad will be full of new experiences. Your children will become global citizens: ones with an interest in different cultures and foods, knowledge about different religions and traditions, and with many new friends scattered all across the globe. Some of their best memories will be made during the year - a year they'll undoubtedly cherish forever and be truly grateful for.
