The Ministry of Education (MOE) determines the school holidays in Malaysia. It is usually released at the end of the academic year and is followed by all schools in Malaysia.
The school holidays differ depending on the location. The MOE has split it into two sections (Kumpulan A & B).
Kumpulan A
Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Johor
Kumpulan A states have Friday and Saturday as their weekend.
Kumpulan B
Perlis, Penang, Perak, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Pahang, Labuan, Sabah & Sarawak
Kumpulan A states have Saturday and Sunday as their weekend.
Note: When a national holiday is not mentioned, means it’s already included in a school break period of time (ex. Sultan of Pahang’s Birthday, Arafat Day, Christmas Day)
