If you or one of your family members attend one of the best international schools in Canada, you may want to know more about the school holidays in Canada. In Canada, the school year starts from early September and ends in mid-June. During this period, students get a two-week break at Christmas and two weeks in March. The first day of school for students is Tuesday, September 3, 2019, and the last day of school for elementary students is Thursday, June 25, 2020.

It is important to note that school boards may modify school calendar dates with prior approval from the Ministry. So, it is recommended to contact school boards to see if their school holidays have been modified.
