As an International Baccalaureate® (IB) world school, ISZL is authorised by the IB Organisation to offer the Primary Years, Middle Years, and IB Diploma programmes. In addition, students in Grades 11 and 12 have the option of taking Advanced Placement® (AP) courses and exams. All AP courses are audited by the College Board.
ISZL has been accredited by the prestigious Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
ISZL is supervised by the educational authority of the Canton of Zug and operates with its approval. ISZL is a member of the Swiss Group of International Schools and the Educational Collaborative for International Schools.
ISZL is currently joint 1st place in the IB League Table for Switzerland, and 4th place for the Top IB School in EU/EEA for 2022
Extra curricular
Our after-school Activities and Clubs Programme is designed to enhance student learning and personal development in line with our mission and vision.
We offer our Grade 1-12 students a broad and diverse range of opportunities, with over 30 different clubs per division for Primary, Middle and High School students, for example:
Visual & Performing Arts – drama, sewing, guitar band, manga art, photography, theatre production, wind or jazz band, choir, string orchestra, movers & shakers etc.
Recreational Sports – soccer, uni-hockey, swimming, running, ballet, climbing, badminton, fencing, bouldering, sailing, cross-fit, volleyball.
Competitive Sports – soccer, cross-country, uni-hockey, badminton, swimming, skiing, track & field, golf, tennis, basketball, volleyball, touch rugby.
Academic Enrichment & Student Leadership – digital creators, German, leadership & action, forest adventure, chess, digital drawing, gardening, aquaponics/urban gardening, Swiss Young Naturalists Tournament, creative thinking, stop motion animation.
Students at ISCS have the opportunity to take part in Extracurricular Activities, ranging from Football, Cross Country, and Computer Club, to Drama, Film, German, Mindfulness, Craft, Art, or Earth Club. Clubs are included in the school fee and are a great way to meet new friends, discover new passions and learn life-long skills, all while having fun!
