Academics
Early Childhood & Elementary School
At Concordia, we provide a warm and stimulating early childhood program for children ages 3 to 5, emphasizing holistic development across academics, motor skills, and social/emotional learning. In our elementary school, covering grades 1 to 5, we build a strong foundation in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies, while fostering social skills, emotional well-being, and service-learning. The curriculum includes Mandarin language studies, technology integration, and an intentional approach to fine arts and physical education.
Middle School
Our middle school, for grades 6 to 8, is tailored to the transitional needs of young adolescents. We emphasize academic rigor, independence, responsibility, and leadership within a supportive community. The introduction of a 1-to-1 MacBook program empowers students with enhanced technological skills and learning autonomy.
High School & Applied Learning
In high school (grades 9 to 12), our focus shifts to providing a diverse and tailored academic curriculum aligned with U.S. university standards. Students engage in a mix of core subjects, including opportunities for Advanced Placement courses, and choose electives based on their interests. Our Applied Learning program enables students to link academic concepts to real-world applications and personal interests. This approach enriches the high school experience, fostering academic vitality and personal growth.
Fine Arts
Our fine arts program, integral from elementary through high school, involves in-depth study and practical experience in music, theatre, and visual arts. Starting with guided exploration in elementary school, students progress to more specialized opportunities, including auditioned productions and advanced visual arts, nurturing their talents and encouraging them to pursue their passions.
Mandarin Program
Our comprehensive Mandarin program, available from Preschool to Grade 12, accommodates various proficiency levels. It allows students to either begin learning Mandarin as a foreign language or to enhance it at a heritage level, deepening their understanding of the Chinese language and culture.
Extra curricular
Our comprehensive extracurricular program encompasses a vibrant mix of sports, fine arts, and diverse activities, enriching student life across all grade levels.
Our expansive sport program fields over 60 teams across 30 sports each year, offering students the opportunity to develop their athletic skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Our students have access to top-notch facilities including multiple gyms, a FIFA Two-Star soccer pitch, tennis courts, and specialized areas for sports medicine and strength conditioning.
The fine arts are a pivotal part of our extracurricular program. Starting in elementary school, students have access to afterschool activities in music, drama, and visual arts, with opportunities growing as they advance through the grades.
Our membership in various regional and international athletic and fine arts associations, including the Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC), the Association for Music in International Schools (AMIS), and the Association of China and Mongolia International Schools (ACAMIS), provide students with exceptional opportunities to grow, compete, and express themselves through a variety of competitions and festivals.
Beyond sports and arts, a wide range of additional extracurricular activities, led by our dedicated staff, volunteer parents, or external experts, are offered on campus. These activities provide opportunities for students to delve deeper into areas of interests from STEM and the arts to service and leadership, further enriching our students’ holistic development and ensuring a well-rounded educational journey.

At Concordia, we ensure a secure and welcoming environment through a blend of security measures. These include automated turnstiles requiring school IDs, closed-circuit cameras, and 24/7 security staff. Visitors must present a government ID for entry. Additionally, our comprehensive approach includes emergency preparedness and campus security procedures. Our campus houses two health offices staffed with full-time, registered nurses capable of addressing everyday health needs and emergency situations. Furthermore, all faculty and staff receive thorough first-aid and emergency training. Recognizing the importance of emotional well-being alongside physical safety, our counseling and guidance staff offer support for students facing mental, emotional, and stress-related challenges. To ensure a healthy environment, we've installed air filtration systems across campus to maintain air quality well within U.S. EPA standards, providing clean air in classrooms and common areas regardless of external conditions.
