At TASIS The American School in England, the aspirations and potential of every student are fostered, nurtured, and challenged. In accordance with our mission statement, TASIS England is dedicated to inspiring the pursuit of lifelong learning, an appreciation for beauty, and the development of character. These values, coupled with physical activity, artistic endeavors, and service to others, ensure that our students are well equipped for life beyond the school walls.

TASIS England educates day (ages 3-18) and boarding (ages 14-18) students from more than 50 countries. This diversity provides a rich, multi-layered experience. Students learn to recognize and value the importance of each person’s customs and traditions, as they engage with one another and contribute to the unique and dynamic learning environment.

Throughout the School, students benefit from individualized attention in small classes (average 15) and EAL support as needed. Recognizing that the future success of today’s students will depend on their ability to solve problems by thinking creatively and working collaboratively. TASIS England complements traditional education with programs designed to help students acquire these important skills.

Committed to forward-thinking education, the School facilitates innovation and creativity in science and technology. Students of all ages use technological resources in developmentally appropriate ways, from the MakerSpace in Lower School to the touchscreen learning wall and robotics studio in the Centre for Innovation, Inspiration, and Exploration.

TASIS England also remains dedicated to the performing and visual arts, ensuring that the School offers a multi-faceted experience that provides opportunities for students to excel wherever their individual strengths may lie.

In the Upper School, curricula offered includes the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, as well as a broad-based American curriculum with Advanced Placement classes. One-to-one counseling enables Upper School students to identify and apply to the universities that best fit their educational and career aspirations. TASIS graduates gain acceptance to excellent universities in the UK, the US, and worldwide.

School life at TASIS England is busy and enjoyable, and students easily make new friends in our welcoming community. Diverse extracurricular activities and clubs, community service and leadership opportunities, and cultural excursions balance their academic work. In the family-style boarding community, the well-being of each student is paramount.

Located 18 miles southwest of London, the beautiful 46-acre campus combines historic buildings with modern purpose-built facilities including an art/music complex and a 350-seat theatre. Extensive sports facilities include two gymnasiums, a fitness center, tennis courts, and outdoor playing fields

During the summer, TASIS England offers three- and six-week enrichment courses. Students (ages 10-17) from around the world pursue an area of special interest, improve their English, or simply participate in an exciting holiday experience. With sports and activities, sightseeing excursions, and theatre trips to London, the Summer Programs provide a perfect way to sample the boarding experience.

Education must be dynamic in order to give students the foundations for success in the ever-changing landscape of the world. The enduring goal of TASIS England is to provide the scaffold upon which each student not only achieves academic success, but continues to develop a strong character that is also kind and empathetic, embracing cultural diversity.
