The school offers only curricula that lead to accredited qualifications recognised by the world’s leading universities. It also offers enriching learning opportunities to ensure that students are equipped with the skills to shape the world they inherit.

Primary students follow an enhanced International Primary Curriculum with French options ranging from a beginner’s course to a bilingual programme. This provides an excellent transition into the diverse international secondary curriculum offer.

In secondary, students are supported to achieve excellent academic results and further develop their skills in two or more languages. They can opt for a single-language or bilingual IB diploma, strengthening their application to top universities in Switzerland and abroad.

LCIS is a member of Nord Anglia Education (NAE), the world’s leading premium schools group, and is, therefore, able to recruit the finest locally and internationally trained teachers committed to nurturing and inspiring every child. Consequently, LCIS students achieve outstanding academic results, and graduates are accepted to top universities in Switzerland and worldwide.

Academics

La Côte International School Aubonne offers an international curriculum that leads to accredited qualifications accepted by the world’s leading universities, providing enriching learning opportunities for students to prepare them to shape the world. The school provides rigorous language instruction tailored to students' current and future needs, including French, English, and German, among others.

The school offers a nurturing, thoughtful approach for children aged three to five through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, fostering their skills, curiosity, and confidence to become successful learners.

For ages five to eleven, the school offers a combination of the English National Curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum, allowing students to explore various subjects through cross-curricular topics while developing essential emotional, social, and academic skills.

The Lower Secondary Curriculum (LSC) is for students aged 11 to 14 and is designed to support their emotional, social, and academic development, preparing them for the challenging IGCSE and IB Diploma Programmes.

Students aged 14 to 16 take the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), one of the most academically challenging international qualifications, recognised by leading universities and employers worldwide.

In Years 12-13, LCIS offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), which is recognised by top universities worldwide. The IBDP is a rigorous, comprehensive two-year programme that prepares students for higher education and life beyond.
