Academics
The World School offers the Dutch curriculum. As a result, our curriculum meets the national learning and core objectives set by the government to ensure quality education.
Our education is supervised by the Education Inspectorate, which guarantees that your children not only receive a Dutch education, but also at a high level. We are also officially affiliated to the Dutch Education Abroad Foundation (Stichting NOB).
Like any school, our pupils receive a final report at the end of the academic year. Parents and pupils can view the grades and average at any time via a digital learning environment. In addition, a progress meeting is held with the teacher, during which, among other things, the grade list and results are discussed.
Would you like to obtain a vmbo-tl, havo or vwo diploma abroad? That is possible through the World School! We will train your child up to the state examination. In senior secondary vocational education (vmbo), your child will choose a sector, while in senior secondary vocational education (havo or vwo) a profile will be chosen, similar to regular education in Dutch. Your child can take the exam and obtain a Dutch diploma or part certificate.

Things to know
Na ontvangst van de aanmelding gaan we aan de slag om deze administratief te verwerken. Is de betaling ontvangen? Dan wordt het pakket voor je samengesteld en gereedgemaakt voor verzending. Het pakket wordt opgestuurd naar het opgegeven adres. Wordt het pakket buiten Europa verzonden? Houd er dan rekening mee dat het pakket langer onderweg kan zijn. Binnen een week ontvang je een email met informatie over het schooljaar en aan welke docent je kind is gekoppeld. Na 48 uur is dit zichtbaar voor de docent en stuurt hij/zij een bericht. Plan snel een videobelmoment in voor een persoonlijke kennismaking. En op naar een leerzaam leerjaar!

Bij de Wereldschool staat de gezondheid en veiligheid van de leerling centraal. Thuisonderwijs biedt een unieke mogelijkheid om te leren in een vertrouwde en veilige omgeving. De eigen thuissituatie biedt rust en bescherming, wat belangrijk is voor zowel het mentale als fysieke welzijn van een kind. Daarnaast speelt de Wereldschool in op het individuele leertempo van elke leerling. In plaats van de druk van klassikale tijdschema's, krijgen kinderen de vrijheid om in hun eigen tempo te leren. Dit draagt bij aan een gezonde balans tussen studie en persoonlijke ontwikkeling. Ze kunnen pauzes nemen wanneer nodig en hebben de flexibiliteit om hun leerervaring af te stemmen op hun energie en concentratie.
