Academics
As a British International School, Mougins School is heavily influenced by the English National Curriculum but placed within an international context. Students will benefit from all of the traditions and heritage of a British-style education. The British education system is recognised and respected across the world.
All students at Mougins British International School take part in our Thrive programme, designed to encourage students to find and develop passions that may exist outside of a traditional school curriculum in activities such as Tap Rugby, LEGO® Education, MUN, Eco-warriors and much more.
Extra curricular
Alongside a full programme of sports, drama and music, we also offer many other clubs and extracurricular activities in different areas.
Music Activities
Children can choose to take part in private instrument or voice lessons from the age of 4. These are taught by an experienced external team of specialist musicians. The school also has choirs and an orchestra that rehearse after school.
Drama Club
Our drama club is a well-loved part of the school’s extracurricular offering. We are a LAMDA-certified centre (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) and have been preparing students for the LAMDA exams for over 10 years. LAMDA is the UK’s largest Speech and Drama board and their graded exams offer a nationally recognised qualification in communication and performance. For those preparing for university it is an especially beneficial activity as UCAS points are awarded for earning LAMDA qualifications. Along with preparing for the exams we make sure the drama club is fun and enriching for all, and put on regular drama performances for parents and students to attend.
Learnissimo Language Courses
We have partnered with Learnissimo, one of Europe’s leading providers of online foreign language learning, to offer extracurricular conversation lessons for students aged 10 to 18.
Learnissimo lessons take place at home. Children log on via computer or tablet for a 1:1 lesson in their chosen language. Lessons are personalised and adapted to your child’s level and learning goals. Learnissimo courses are available in French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Mandarin, and more. All Learnissimo teachers are native language speakers and certified to teach online.

Nurturing and caring for our pupils is of paramount importance here at Mougins School. We are wholly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and young people and expect all staff, volunteers, pupils and visitors to share this commitment. Class tutors are on hand to respond to pupils’ individual emotional needs while our senior students act as mentors to the younger pupils and lead by example. We have a buddy system to help integrate new students and ensure that no child feels left out of school life.
