Main School Holidays in Kenya in 2019

The Ministry of Education determines school holidays in Kenya. The school year is divided into 3 terms. The holiday and term dates released by the MOE are followed by primary and secondary schools as well as colleges across the country. The Academic year in Kenya starts in January and ends around end-October or beginning of November, just before the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams are held.
