During these cultural trips and weekend city trips, we take students to the places they read about in their classes. For instance, the surfing trip to Portugal includes a beach clean-up, demonstrating how students can make a positive impact on the places they visit. Similarly, our trip to Madeira emphasizes environmental awareness by exploring sustainable projects and marine life, empowering students to actively combat climate change. The main service-related trip each year is in partnership with the Sethule Orphans Trust in Zimbabwe, which provides students with invaluable insights into the experiences of others and develops empathy, understanding, and a passion for making a positive impact.
From visiting the Colosseum in Rome, to eating delicious cuisine in Monaco, to beach cleanups in Portugal, and painting Venetian masks in Venice, LAS cultural trips and weekend city breaks offer students a chance to broaden their horizons beyond the classroom.
