Academics

BIS is a private, non-profit, all-day school (kindergarten, preschool, primary school, and secondary school) and is one of the best international schools in Germany and Europe.

In the last two years, the BIS graduating class scored 37 or 36 points on average in their final IB Diploma Programme exams, which is equivalent to a 1.8 or 2.0 Abitur grade in the German state system. These IB scores are much better than the worldwide average.

BIS is the only International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in Germany to offer all four IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP, CP). An IB degree opens doors to the best universities in the world – from Oxford to Harvard to the TUM or LMU in Germany.
