The British International School (BIS) Abu Dhabi kicked off the second term with a fantastic event that welcomed both current and new families back to school. On Wednesday, 8th January 2025, the school proudly hosted its annual BIS Abu Dhabi Duathlon, with tailored run-cycle-run course distances for each year group. Nearly 300 athletes from Year 1 to Year 13 participated, demonstrating remarkable determination and resilience throughout the event. The event was supported by student volunteers who helped in transition zones, along with staff volunteers who ensured everything ran smoothly.
The celebration carried on with a Community Welcome Back BBQ, bringing families together to celebrate the day’s success. It was a great chance for new families to feel the warmth of our community; and everyone had a wonderful time.
