Overview
Located in Al Furjan, Dubai, Arbor School is an independent British curriculum school educating students from Foundation Stage through to Sixth Form. Following the National Curriculum for England, Arbor combines strong academic foundations with a distinctive ecoliterate approach that helps students understand themselves, each other and the world around them.
Arbor was named winner of the World’s Best School Prize for Environmental Action 2025, presented by T4 Education, recognising the school’s approach to environmental education and action.
Students learn across a living campus featuring climate-controlled biodomes, gardens and specialist learning spaces, with opportunities to connect academic learning with real places, people, systems and challenges. Ecoliteracy forms a distinct part of the curriculum and provides opportunities for students to explore the relationships between ecological, social and economic systems through direct experience, projects and fieldwork.
From Foundation Stage through to Secondary and Sixth Form, students are supported as individuals and encouraged to develop their strengths and interests. Older students can choose from a broad range of GCSEs, A Levels and vocational pathways, with personalised university and careers guidance provided through Arbor’s Futures Programme.
Academics
Arbor School offers the National Curriculum for England from Foundation Stage through to Sixth Form, with students building strong academic foundations before progressing to GCSE, A Level and BTEC pathways.
Learning is supported by Arbor’s specialist Ecoliteracy curriculum, which helps students make connections between academic subjects and the ecological, social and economic systems they encounter in the world around them. Projects, fieldwork and practical experiences provide opportunities to apply knowledge in meaningful contexts.
In Sixth Form, students can choose from A Level and BTEC pathways alongside the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Arbor’s Futures Programme provides personalised university and careers guidance, supporting students as they explore courses, destinations and future pathways.
In 2026, Arbor’s first graduating cohort achieved a 100% A Level pass rate, with 48% of entries awarded A*-A and 80% A*-B. At I/GCSE, 60% of grades were awarded at 9-7 and 98% at 9-4 or equivalent.

Arbor School offers Academic, Arts, Sports and Arborist Scholarships for students who demonstrate exceptional potential, talent and commitment. Available across Primary and Secondary, the scholarships recognise a wide range of strengths, from academic achievement and creative excellence to sporting ability and environmental leadership. The Arborist Scholarship, unique to Arbor, celebrates students with a genuine passion for sustainability and making a positive contribution to the world around them.
Extra-curricular Activities
Arbor School offers a broad Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme for students in Years 2 and above, providing opportunities to explore interests and develop skills outside their academic curriculum.
Activities span sport, performing and creative arts, music, technology and a range of specialist interests, giving students opportunities to try something new or develop an existing strength.
Music also forms an important part of school life. Through Arbor’s partnership with The Centre for Musical Arts, students can access individual instrumental tuition during the school day, alongside opportunities to take part in performances and productions throughout the year.
Across the school, students can also participate in competitions, events, trips and projects that complement their academic studies and provide opportunities to work with others, take responsibility and pursue individual interests.
Facilities
Arbor School’s campus in Al Furjan has been designed to integrate indoor and outdoor learning, with specialist spaces supporting teaching from Foundation Stage through to Sixth Form.
At the heart of the campus are six climate-controlled biodomes, including three large geodesic domes within the Bio Park. Two provide tropical ecosystems used for Ecoliteracy teaching across the school, while the third houses the Eco Exploratorium, a specialist Ecoliteracy teaching and learning space. Three smaller biodomes provide additional spaces for activities including reading and plant propagation.
The Biofarm and gardens give students opportunities to engage directly with growing, food systems and ecology as part of their learning.
Elsewhere on campus, students have access to specialist science laboratories, art and design spaces, performing arts facilities and dedicated Secondary and Sixth Form learning spaces, alongside extensive facilities for sport and physical education.
Together, these spaces allow learning to move naturally between classroom study, practical investigation and direct experience.
