As February approaches, The British School of Córdoba is buzzing with focused energy as Year 11 and Year 10 students prepare for their upcoming Mock Exams. Scheduled to take place between February 2nd and 10th, these assessments are a vital milestone, allowing students to experience the rigor of IGCSE conditions. Far from being mere practice tests, these mocks are the culmination of a dedicated preparation period throughout January, designed to build the confidence and skills necessary for academic success.
Throughout the past month, teachers have led specialized preparation sessions, guiding students to analyze their first-term results and reflect on their progress. This academic journey has been a collaborative effort; notably, the Student Support Team extended their impact beyond the classroom by visiting the school residence. There, they conducted a bespoke session for residential students, ensuring they have the emotional and organizational tools to manage the demands of the exam season.
This holistic approach encourages students to establish personalized action plans with specific goals. By practicing time management and stress control in a supportive environment, learners develop the resilience needed for their final exams in May and June. Consistent with the IB philosophy, these preparations nurture independent, globally-minded individuals. At The British School of Córdoba, we believe that empowering students with a clear plan and a strong support network—both in school and at the residence—is the key to shaping future leaders ready to thrive in any challenge.
