Jak jest skonstruowany program matury międzynarodowej IB (IBDP)?
Program Matury Międzynarodowej (IBDP) to rygorystyczny dwuletni program, w ramach którego uczniowie zdają egzaminy końcowe pod koniec dwuletniego okresu, w maju.
W ramach programu IBDP oferowanych jest 6 grup przedmiotowych, a uczniowie wybierają po jednym kursie z każdej z nich. Istnieje również możliwość studiowania dodatkowego kursu z przedmiotów ścisłych, humanistycznych i społecznych lub językowych zamiast kursu z przedmiotów humanistycznych. Program IBDP jest podzielony na poziomy, przy czym każdy uczeń musi wybrać co najmniej 3 (ale nie więcej niż 4) przedmioty na poziomie rozszerzonym (HL), a pozostałe na poziomie podstawowym (SL). Kursy HL i SL różnią się zakresem, ale mniej przedmiotów jest ocenianych według tych samych kryteriów oceny, a od uczniów oczekuje się wykazania się większą wiedzą, zrozumieniem i umiejętnościami na wyższym poziomie.
Oprócz grup przedmiotowych, program IBDP obejmuje 3 obowiązkowe elementy podstawowe: Teorię Wiedzy (TOK), Esej Rozszerzony (EE) oraz Kreatywność, Działanie, Służba (Cas). Teoria Wiedzy wymaga od uczniów refleksji nad naturą wiedzy i nad tym, skąd wiemy to, co twierdzimy, że wiemy. Oceniana jest poprzez prezentację ustną i esej o objętości 1600 słów. Esej Rozszerzony to samodzielna praca badawcza, której zwieńczeniem jest praca pisemna o objętości 4000 słów. Wreszcie, CAS wymaga od uczniów zaangażowania się w działalność twórczą, fizyczną oraz charytatywną/wolontariacką.
