Acorn Open Day: What Families Will Discover on 29 November
Choosing a school is not a decision that begins with a brochure. It’s a feeling.
It’s the way a place welcomes you, the way it speaks to you, the way you can suddenly imagine your child growing there.
That’s why Open Days matter: they allow families to step inside a school, breathe its atmosphere, observe the relationships, and understand whether that environment could become a second home.
On 29 November, Acorn International School opens its doors to families beginning this journey. Here’s what they will experience.
A campus that speaks before anyone does
The first impression doesn’t come from explanations—it comes from the environment.
Families will walk through a green, open campus where nature is part of everyday life, where children explore and observe, and where classrooms feel warm, genuine and lived-in.
Many parents say the same thing:
“This place feels alive.” Alive in a calm, welcoming, real way.
Meeting the people who make the school a community
Schools are not only programmes and structures; they are people.
During the Open Day, families will meet teachers from all sections — Early Years, Primary, Middle School and High School.
They’ll see how teachers speak to children, how they listen, how they encourage.
They’ll notice gestures, tones, smiles — details that often reveal more than any printed information.
It’s in these interactions that many parents realise whether a school “feels right”.
A learning path that grows with the child: from 24 months to 18 years.
One of the moments that impacts families the most is understanding what a continuous 3–18 educational journey truly means.
During the Open Day, they will discover how each stage connects naturally to the next:
- Early Years → Primary
- Primary → Middle School
- Middle School → High School
This continuity gives children stability, confidence and a long-term sense of belonging.
It allows them to grow from within, without interruptions or forced restarts.
Learning through experience, not pressure
Throughout the visit, parents will see how learning changes shape with age, but not nature:
- play-based learning in Early Years
- hands-on discovery in Primary
- curiosity and critical thinking in Middle School
- depth and responsibility in High School
Everything revolves around one clear idea:
children learn best when they feel welcomed, seen and supported.
At the Open Day, this won’t be explained — it will be visible.
Real experiences: from laboratories to outdoor activities
During the Open Day, families will have the chance to see — and experience — what brings the school to life each day.
Older students will take part in activities inside our Science and ICT laboratories, spaces designed for experimenting, observing, creating and transforming curiosity into concrete discovery.
For our younger children, there will be activities tailored to their age:
music, movement-based play, outdoor exploration and simple sports activities.
These experiences are immediate and engaging, but also incredibly powerful.
They show how children learn through their bodies, rhythm, play and natural curiosity.
A space to ask real questions
Open Days are not presentations.
They are open conversations.
Families will be able to ask about everything that truly matters:
- Bilingual approach
- University pathways
- Class sizes
- Wellbeing support
- Daily routines
- Values and expectations
- Transitions between school stages
- Simple questions often reveal the most important answers.
