Each December, Córdoba becomes a city full of light and celebration, and this year was no exception. The British School of Córdoba was proud to be part of the opening event on Cruz Conde Street, where our school choir was invited to perform as the city unveiled its annual Christmas display.
Our students opened the evening with a selection of carols that created a warm and welcoming atmosphere on one of the busiest streets in the city. Their participation reflected both their dedication and the strong connection our school maintains with the local community.
The event also featured performances by local artists, including well-known singer India Martínez, adding to the cultural spirit that defines Córdoba’s festive season. For our students, taking part in an event alongside respected figures from the city’s artistic scene was a meaningful experience and a chance to engage directly with Córdoba’s musical traditions.
Christmas at The British School of Córdoba is always a busy and joyful time, and the choir plays an important role in bringing that spirit to the wider community. This year, under the guidance of Maria, our students visited the local hospital to sing for patients and staff, performed at the city’s Christmas market, and took part in our annual Santa event, which welcomed more than 500 families. They even composed and performed their own original Christmas song, a project that encouraged creativity, collaboration, and genuine pride in their work.
These experiences help our students build confidence and understand the value of contributing to their community, making this festive season especially memorable for all involved.
