Transforming Lives through Education: ISHCMC’s Impactful Charity Project

The International School of Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) is proud to announce that, together with International School Saigon Pearl, it has been working on a life-changing charitable project in collaboration with Saigonchildren as part of the school’s charity project.

In this article, we will provide an in-depth look into the project’s journey, detailing the collaborative efforts and milestones achieved. Stay tuned as we share the remarkable results of this endeavor, highlighting the profound difference that collective action can make in the lives of those we aim to uplift.

Saigonchildren: Our Charity Partner

Saigonchildren, established in 1992, is a renowned organization with a dedicated mission of empowering disadvantaged children and young adults in Vietnam through quality education. Their resolute mission aligns with our own values at The International School of Ho Chi Minh City. Our shared passion for education and our deep understanding of the transformative power of community support create a natural synergy, propelling us to collaborate in fostering positive change and brighter futures for those who need it the most.

Community Fundraising and School Partnerships

The funds raised for this initiative came from community fundraising activities organized by the school and its dedicated parents, which included events like the Festive Bazaar and a Parent Community Social. These engaging events not only brought our community together but also contributed to a significant amount of 118 million VND that was pooled towards this noble cause.

Empowering Together: Joining Forces with Saigon Pearl International School and Saigonchildren

Our collaborative efforts were further sparked when we learned that our sister school, Saigon Pearl International School (ISSP), was also poised to make a generous contribution to Saigonchildren. This revelation served as a unifying moment, where we recognized the potential for greater impact by working together. With both institutions aligned in our intent to support Saigonchildren’s mission, we took the opportunity to combine our resources, enthusiasm, and dedication. This joint endeavor showcases our shared commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate, underscoring the importance of collective action in achieving meaningful change.

The primary beneficiaries of this project are the disadvantaged children in the region, who will have the opportunity to receive education in an improved environment. Furthermore, the families of the students, the school teachers, and the larger Commune community will also indirectly benefit from this initiative.

Renovation Details:

The renovation involves critical improvements, such as waterproofing the roof and repainting classrooms, as well as enhancing safety through the construction of a concrete fence. The concrete floor level will be raised, and classrooms and hygiene facilities will be fitted with durable ceramic tiles.
Our partnership with Saigonchildren embodies our commitment to social responsibility, as we collaborate to transform education for underprivileged children through the Phuong Phu Kindergarten renovation project. This endeavor showcases the power of compassion and collaboration to create a brighter future, reflecting the potential of education-centered CSR initiatives to bring about meaningful change for both individuals and communities.
