For more than 10 years now, BBIS has proudly offered The Duke of Edinburgh International Award programme as an extra-curricular activity. This school year, we support more than 40 enthusiastic students working towards receiving their Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.
What is DofE?
The Duke of Edinburgh International Award was founded more than 60 years ago and equips students from the age of 14 years with invaluable skills such as resilience, adaptability, creativity, problem solving, decision-making and communication by way of non-formal education and learning. The programme operates in 130 countries and territories with more than a million young people participating each year.
BBIS was one of the first international schools in Germany running all three Award programmes.
