Why families choose the American Curriculum?

Families opt for American curriculum schools in Mexico City for a variety of compelling reasons. Primarily, the American curriculum is renowned for its strong emphasis on developing critical thinking skills and fostering a versatile educational foundation. This approach not only prepares students for a wide range of higher education options but also equips them with the practical skills needed in a rapidly globalizing world.

Global Recognition and College Preparedness

The American education system is globally recognized, which eases the transition for students who wish to pursue higher education in the United States or other international universities. The curriculum’s alignment with U.S. educational standards ensures that students are well-prepared for the SATs and other standardized tests that are critical for college admission. Moreover, the curriculum is structured to enhance student’s applications with a broad range of extracurricular and leadership opportunities, making them attractive candidates for competitive colleges.

Flexibility and Broad Academic Offerings

One of the most appealing aspects of the American curriculum is its flexibility. Students can explore a broad spectrum of subjects before committing to specialized fields. This holistic approach is designed to help students discover their passions and strengths by encouraging exploration in subjects ranging from the sciences to the arts. Additionally, the curriculum often includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses, which provide students with the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school, thus giving them a head start in their higher education journey.

Inclusive and Supportive Environment

American curriculum schools typically boast a diverse student body, with families from various cultural backgrounds. This diversity promotes an inclusive environment where students learn to respect and understand multiple perspectives. Furthermore, schools often have strong support systems in place to assist students with their academic and emotional needs, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience that prioritizes student welfare.

English Proficiency

Since the medium of instruction is English, students become proficient in the language, which is a significant advantage in both academic and professional arenas. English proficiency not only facilitates access to global opportunities but also enhances communication skills that are essential in today’s interconnected world.

In summary, the choice of American curriculum schools by families in Mexico City is driven by the curriculum’s robust framework designed to develop critical thinkers and versatile learners. It’s an education system that not only respects cultural diversity but also promotes a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Karl and I just wish we have discovered your school much earlier. We would like to reiterate from parents who have sent our daughter to a private school all her life, Elea High has given her the most valuable and enriched environment to study. The first thing Grace has mentioned to us is how all the teachers spoke to her like an adult with respect instead of treating her like a little child. This made her feel she is worthy and made her feel comfortable in engaging. This is something she said she never experienced in her old school! Private schools may have all the fancy facilities and traditional values but what your school offered is what’s important in school life – respect and the right environment!

Our son is living a sober, happy, healthy life, thanks in part to the skills he learned and nurturing he received at NSA, as well as the hard work he has done on his own since returning from NSA.
