Overview
The British School of Amsterdam (BSA) is the city’s only British international school, providing an all-through education for students aged 3 to 18 on a single, historic campus. Located in Amsterdam’s prestigious Oud-Zuid district near Vondelpark, BSA combines high British educational standards with a warm, inclusive international community.
Built on three core values—British excellence, genuine Belonging, and a Boundless outlook—BSA offers a seamless pathway shaped by the best of British education, culminating in GCSE and A Level qualifications. Our academic journey prepares students for top global destinations, with 50% of graduates continuing to Dutch universities, 29% to the UK, and 21% across the rest of the world.
Moving internationally can be overwhelming, but at BSA, we make it a welcoming experience. Home to over 70 nationalities, families consider our school a “second home”. Every child is encouraged to unlock their unique potential through nurturing teaching, subject specialisation, and a vibrant enrichment programme featuring over 100 weekly activities. With strong parent involvement through our dedicated parent organisation committee, BSA ensures that the whole family feels welcomed, supported, and connected in Amsterdam.
