Academics
Takapuna Normal Intermediate School has been on the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) journey since 2010, becoming a fully accredited IB PYP School in 2013. Over the past 10 years, TNIS has continued to develop what it means to create internationally-minded learners by offering authentic learning experiences and opportunities. The PYP links closely to our school motto; ‘Action, Connection, Excellence’. It encourages strong Connections between learners, teachers and the learning community, our learners take Action on issues that arise through their learning, and it is a curriculum that provides Excellent learning opportunities that are learner-driven.

TNIS offers special Technology classes with hands-on learning from experts in six different fields: Food, Science, Material Technology, STEAM, Performance Art and Visual Art.
And you'll find a wide range of opportunities for sports, music and academic achievement.
We equiped with excellent learning facilities with extensive rugby and netball courts, a range of PE gear, specialist rooms, a renovated school hall and a library.
Facilities
A vast field where one can enjoy various sports such as rugby, football, and cricket; a clean and beautiful library stocked with numerous novels and reference materials; a well-equipped woodworking room featuring various state-of-the-art tools including a 3D printer and laser printer; and a kitchen renovated with a new oven and cooking utensils.

(Online application from school Website www.tnis.school.nz), or request a form by email. studynz@tnis.school.nz (International Student Director, Sophia Y)- Passport front page (Colour) Learner and accompanying parents- latest School report (En)- Vaccination record (En)/ if applicable- A hand-written letter from the student, introducing themselves, and explaining their reasons for wanting to study at the school.2. Interview through Zoom or WeChat3. Offer a place (in condition) & Issue an invoice4. Make a payment5. Receipt and Confirmed offer letter 6. Apply for a Student visa with No.5 Docs7. Submit a Valid student via & Insurance8. Orientation & Start the school

The students must stay with one of their parents, School approved Host family, or Designated Caregiver.If you have any health issues (Physically or Mentally) could affect to study abroad, please reveal this when you fill the enrolment contract form.
