Boarding Fees

Boarding at RGS Surrey Hills is available on a full, weekly or flexible basis, giving families the option to choose the arrangement that works best for them.
For the 2026–27 academic year, full boarding fees start from £15,670 per term for Years 7–8, rising according to year group. Weekly boarding starts from £13,800 per term. Fees are inclusive of VAT.
Our boarding fees include accommodation, meals, textbooks and the programme of boarders' trips and activities. Full boarders live on our 26-acre Surrey Hills campus, with residential House Parents and access to the school's sports, music and recreational facilities outside the academic day.
For international families considering Sixth Form, full boarding is £19,110 per term for 2026–27. Our One Year GCSE Programme is £19,890 per term for full boarding and includes ESL charges and UK outings.
An international registration fee of £250 and an international acceptance deposit of £5,000 also apply.
Some additional costs may be payable for items such as the school's digital device scheme, specialist activities and individual learning support where required.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

RGS Surrey Hills offers scholarships for talented and committed students joining our UK day and boarding school at 11+, 13+ and 16+.
Scholarships recognise students who have already demonstrated achievement and potential in their chosen area and who are ready to contribute to school life. Awards are available across Academic, Sport, Music, Art and Drama.
Our scholars are encouraged to develop their strengths further through specialist teaching, training, performance and leadership opportunities. They play an active part in the school, whether representing RGS Surrey Hills in sport, performing in music or drama, developing their creative work or contributing academically.
Sport scholarships are available for students who demonstrate ability, commitment and a strong approach to training and competition. Scholars have opportunities to represent the school and develop within a sporting programme that supports both participation and higher-level performance.
Music, Art and Drama scholarships recognise students with particular creative talent and give them opportunities to develop their skills within the wider arts programme at RGS Surrey Hills.
For international students considering a UK boarding school scholarship, our International Admissions team can advise on eligibility, entry requirements, assessments and application deadlines. Scholarship applications are considered alongside the school's usual admissions process.

Boarding options

Enrollment

Applying to a UK boarding school from overseas can involve different year groups, qualifications and entry points from those in a student's home country. Our Admissions team works directly with families and education agents to help identify the most appropriate route into RGS Surrey Hills.

We welcome applications for students aged 11–18, with entry into the Senior School and Sixth Form. Students follow the British education system, working towards GCSE qualifications before progressing to Sixth Form, where they can choose between A Levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.

We also recognise that not every international student is looking to move to the UK for several years. Subject to availability and the student's age and academic programme, we can consider students wishing to join RGS Surrey Hills for one or two terms. This can provide an opportunity to experience a British boarding school, improve English language confidence and become part of an international school community without committing to a full academic programme in the UK.

For students considering a longer stay, our team can advise on the best point to enter the British education system, whether that is before GCSEs, for a one-year GCSE programme or for Sixth Form study.

Applications are considered individually. We look at a student's current school reports and academic background and will advise families on any assessments, interviews or additional information required as part of the admissions process.

Because education systems and qualifications differ considerably between countries, we recommend speaking to our Admissions team before applying. We can discuss the student's age, current curriculum, level of English and future plans and advise on the most appropriate year group and academic pathway.

Health & Safety

For families choosing a UK boarding school from overseas, knowing that their child will be well cared for is understandably a priority.

RGS Surrey Hills has an on-site school nurse providing medical support to students during the school day, alongside experienced pastoral and boarding staff who know the students in their care.

Our new Health and Wellbeing Centre provides a dedicated space on campus for student health and wellbeing. It brings support into one accessible setting, giving students somewhere they know they can go when they need medical advice, pastoral support or simply someone to talk to.

For boarders, care continues beyond the school day. Residential House Parents and boarding staff are on site, providing a familiar point of contact for students living away from home. This is particularly important for international students as they settle into a new school, country and routine.

Our smaller school community also means students are known individually. Tutors, teachers, boarding staff and the pastoral team work closely together, helping us identify when a student may need additional support rather than waiting for them to ask.

Health and wellbeing are part of everyday school life at RGS Surrey Hills, giving families overseas the reassurance that there are people on campus who know their child and are there when they need them.
