Overview
The International School of Siena has celebrated its 10th anniversary and in the past 10 years has developed and grown considerably. The school is the only IB through school in Tuscany, fully authorized for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Learning at IS Siena is exciting and engaging, as students strive for excellence in a climate that is caring and responsive to individual needs and goals. The school’s global vision is coordinated by an outstanding team of educational leaders and implemented by highly skilled and dedicated professional staff. The school has been recently relocated to a stunning new building with a spacious, light, modern teaching spaces and an indoor gym, Drama/Dance studio, 2 Libraries, Music and Art rooms and Science laboratories fitted out to the highest standards. The Early Years spaces are specially designed to complement the Reggio Inspired teaching approach. The Inspired approach to PYP Early Years also draws inspiration from the Reggio Approach. Learning at the International School of Siena is an international experience with students from around 20 nationalities. This leads to a perception of the world that merges understanding of the global context with the development of skills and attitudes that young people require to participate fully in the world of tomorrow, both as national and global citizens. The school is located in a beautiful area of Tuscany where people have access to a variety of cultural and educational resources in the local area which the school strives to incorporate into the experience of the students, making connections between the classroom and the world around us.
